Hector Z. Oropeza is the founding owner of the Oropeza Law Firm, PLLC . Mr. Oropeza’s personal injury practice is concentrated in the areas of medical malpractice, automobile accidents, products liability, pedestrian accidents, and other personal injury areas. Mr. Oropeza’s criminal defense practice is concentrated, but not limited to, driving under the influence (DUI/DWI), driving with a suspended driver’s license, speeding tickets, possession, and assault. Mr. Oropeza has been listed on the Continental Who’s Who Registry of National Business Leaders and is a member of the Hispanic Bar Association of the District of Columbia (“HBA-DC”), the Trial Lawyers Association of Metropolitan Washington D.C. (“TLA-DC”, D.C. branch of ATLA), and the Bar Association of the District of Columbia (“BADC”). Mr. Oropeza also serves as a Good Samaritan Advocate at Covenant Life Church in Gaithersburg, MD. As a Good Samaritan Advocate he represents indigent members of Montgomery County who have various legal needs for free. Mr. Oropeza also acts as an Appointed Attorney in Montgomery County and Baltimore City where he advocates for the rights of indigent defendants in their Bail Hearings before Judicial Officers.
Mr. Oropeza is a graduate of the University of Maryland and the Howard University School of Law. While in law school, Mr. Oropeza participated in the International Moot Court Team where he argued complex international legal issues. While in law school, Mr. Oropeza was the Vice President of La Alianza, the Hispanic Bar Association.
